Holiday World

Katie treated us to a surprise trip to Holiday World - the world's first theme park, located in Santa Claus, Indiana.

The theme park features free soft drinks and free sunscreen throughout the park, whose various areas are distinguished by holiday themes (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.).  There is also a water park, which isn't holiday-themed but is certainly a lot of fun.

Lilie and I were both pleasantly surprised, and super excited to have a mini-'decation'.  Yeah, we still have some words that Lilie hasn't perfected.  We're not ready to give them up, either.

Here are the pics:

Lilie's first roller coaster ride. She was not a fan.

Lilie was so completely frightened excited!

The start of the day at the hand fountain (?)

I was frightened. We'd just started the day.  Granted, it was hot - but melting already?

The carousel solved the problem!

Ah, the glow generated by the excitement.

Holidog!  Get it?!??!  HOLIDOG!

I think Lilie was willing to stay at these fountains ALL DAY.

Here, Lilie was trying to figure out how to jump the track.

We were surprised at how very long Lilie has become. We both remember 21" Lilie...

They're so beautiful they should be mermaids.

That's what I said -

Bunny Bread!  [Seriously - does that dang slogan make sense to ANYONE?!]

Hm. Is Lilie melting?

Here, Lilie is trying to use her mind to SET SOMETHING ON FIRE.

She was a happier child after I won a 'Hello Kitty' doll for her.

This was wonderful: Lilie made a friend while waiting for Santa to appear.

The girl knows no strangers when it comes to other kids.

She clearly found a kindred spirit.

The only problem: play dates will have to take place in Terra Haute, IN.

Lilie was much more at ease on her second round on Santa's lap.

I believe Mommy had proposed that Lilie shouldn't be driving on the next ride.

Compromise!  Lilie steers, and Daddy pushes the pedals.

Clearly, Lilie is concerned with the road ahead.
We drove home after shutting the park down, because we are very serious partiers.  What an awesome decation!  Thanks Mommy!
