Our Pretty, Pretty Princess Liliana

Lilie has officially mastered "Dada". We're working diligently on "Mama" and "Platinum, please".

The funniest thing was that she didn't even care that she had something on her head. She just went about her business (and hammed it up for the camera). And a couple more miscellaneous pictures:

Love to all from all of us!

New Adventures

This weekend we took another road trip, this time to Iowa to visit some of my family. Lilie, for the most part, did very well in the car. We did have a few screaming episodes (they always seem to last so much longer than they actually do) but she slept most of the seven hour drive each way. I think she's almost ready for Texas. ;)

We had a wonderful weekend, it was great to see everyone and Lilie got to meet some family for the first time.

In other exciting news, Lilie is now a "real food" eater! Today she turned six months old so we celebrated a little early yesterday by giving her the first serving of rice cereal. For several weeks she has been watching us eat while imitating chewing and smacking her lips, so we were pretty sure she was ready. While it was pretty messy, as expected, Lilie did great and seemed to really enjoy it. I suppose all that practice paid off. Peas and carrots, here we come!

Before..... "I'm ready, I'm ready!"
Ahhhhhh! Yum!
Mmmmmmmmm!
The Aftermath"Next time, just give me the bowl. I'll do it myself, okay?"
