SNOW glad it's Spring!

We got nailed by a major snow storm today.  I'm pretty sure we're up to at least 9 inches on the ground right now and it is still coming down!  Jason headed outside this morning to execute a preemptive move by shoveling the driveway of the first several inches so that he wouldn't have quite so much to dig through the second time around.  It didn't start out as a fun chore for him, really.  But then the neighbor kiddos wandered over...and Jason playfully tossed a shovel full of snow at them.  That ginormous snowball knocked the oldest boy right over which caused the whole gang to laugh hysterically.  And that was the beginning of a fun game...

I heard gleeful shouts of "Me, me, Jason!  Hit me!"

"My turn! Get me!"

Adding joy to a chore.  My Jason is good at that.

I'm not sure who got tired of it first.

We scattered some bird seed on our porch to try to help out our poor feathered friends.

This made the Buxton place a popular hang out.  We've gotten to enjoy seeing a variety of beautiful birdies today.  I don't think we captured any shots of the Cardinals but there is something so gorgeous about the bright red against the pure white snow.

The snow storm cut our visit short with cousins but we did get to enjoy an afternoon of Golwitzer goodness!
