Showing some love

Liliana loves to take walks and be pushed in her 'Dora the Explorer' stroller.  A couple evenings ago, she and I had just gotten back from a walk and we were sitting on my front porch watching cars go by (another of her favorite activities) and Lilie's stroller was resting next to her.  She sighed deeply and said to me,  "I love Dora.  I love Dora alllll day."

This evening we're standing in my kitchen, I'm at the counter and Liliana is standing near my leg.

Lilie: "What doing, Mommy?"
Me: "Making Mommy's lunch for tomorrow."
Lilie: "Ohhhhh."
(A few seconds go by)
Lilie: "What doing?"
Me: "I'm making my lunch for tomorrow."
Lilie: "Oh."
(A few more seconds)
Lilie: "Mommy, what doing?"
Me: "Honey, I told you what I'm doing. What are you doing, Lilie?"
Lilie: (With a huge grin) "Heehee. Watching you."

Weed Bouquet

After Liliana and I got home from our walk tonight, we played in my front yard for awhile. Lilie spent quite some time picking "flowers" as I sat on the porch steps and enjoyed watching her concentrate on gathering them. Finally, she walked over with a fistful, thrusts her tiny little hand towards me and says, "Fo you, Mommy! Fo you!"

It wasn't just my allergies making my eyes water.
