Brayden's Birthday

Brayden, my totally charming and adorable nephew, turned ONE on Friday! (Happy Birthday again, little dude!) We traveled to northern Illinois to help him celebrate the big day. We had a great time hanging out with the BG's all weekend and Lilie got to take her first dip in a swimming pool. She really, really enjoyed it! I submit the following video as evidence (be sure your volume is on to get some really sweet giggles):



Brayden and Lilie wore these "swim diapers" that they make for babies. These swim diapers have different cartoon characters on them. Brayden's swim diaper was adorned with the turtle from the movie 'Finding Nemo' whose name happens to be Squirt. Lilie's diaper had a big picture of Pooh, as in Winnie. I had to think about that for a minute...and maybe I'm a dork...but that cracked me up! Those marketing people at Pampers really know what they're doing.

Father's Day Weekend

Many apologies to Aunt Tina and Aunt Mar-Mar for not updating until now, although I do enjoy your comments and gentle harassment. ;)

A quick synopsis of what's new here: Lilie now has two adorable teeth, she is pulling up on e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g and standing on her own for longer and longer periods of time, she is trying soooo hard to walk, she waves 'Bye, bye' (a lot), she says "Dada", "Dog", "Cat", "Hi", and "Baby". She is making "Mmmmm" noises but still no "Mama"!

She's getting so big--can anyone believe that we're getting close to having a one-year-old?! She is such a joy and she is certainly full of the red-head spirit.

In other exciting news, Liliana got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa B for the first time this weekend! They came to visit and we had such a wonderful time with her Nana and Papa! Here are some pictures from the weekend:
