Lilie learned how to "sing" a couple of months ago and she's been fine-tuning her skills since. All of her practice paid off this week when she finally hit the highest note known to man! And she can hold it for a very....long....time. Yes, she's a little screamer now. I call her my little pterodactyl. I still find it very endearing but it's only been a couple of days. I'll get back to you in about a week and let you know if it's still cute to be living with a little Mariah Carey.
Lilie had her first visit with the eye doctor this weekend too. We weren't concerned about her vision or anything it was just that she and Daddy accompanied me to my appointment and while we were there, the doctor asked to look at Lilie's eyes. We were amazed that the doctor could tell anything at this age but she says it looks like Lilie is near-sighted. Bummer. I sure don't see anything wrong with those blue eyes. Hopefully it will be awhile before she requires glasses.
Here are some cute pictures, mostly in her exersaucer where she enjoys playing a lot these days.

Road Trip!
This weekend we traveled to the Chicago area to visit Aunt Tina, Uncle Brian, and Brayden. Brayden was baptized on Sunday and I was given the privilege of being named one of his Godmothers! I didn't get a wand or wings or fairy dust...but I am truly honored that his parents have asked me to help guide and nurture Brayden's spiritual growth. What an awesome responsibility! (And I do get to say "Bippity-Boppity-Boo" every now and again). Brayden is an adorable little baby; I'm so excited to watch him grow into the amazing boy, and then man, I know he is going to become.
Jason, Lilie, my mom, and I drove up Friday evening. We were pretty concerned about the trip because Ms. Lilie is not a huge fan of her carseat. (In fact, she has the ability to make a 5-minute ride to Wal-Mart seem like an hour-long commute. Have you ever tried to cover your ears while driving?) Anyway, I think we were all pretty much prepared for 5 to 6 hours of screaming. I am happy to say that our worry was completely unnecessary! To our pleasant surprise, Liliana slept nearly the entire way up there and nearly the entire way home! She's so good to us...
Aunt Mar-Mar, Uncle Brian, and Brianna took the train up to Tina and Brian's earlier in the day on Friday so they were there to greet us when we finally arrived. (They had massive amounts of snow up there and the last hour or so of our trip was spent going about 25 mph on the highway.) We all hung out on Saturday and just had fun! We even took a trip to Wisconsin to get some highly coveted cheese curds from Mars' Cheese Castle. Yes, they even had knights.
As you can hopefully tell from the pictures, the whole weekend was a blast! We always have so much fun when we all get together and this weekend was no exception.

2009's Cutest Couple
Sorry, Tina--I think you were looking down because Lilie was trying to escape. She's such a wiggle-worm!
